DDNG485 v3 | Network Gateway - Bridge RS485 <-> RS485

The Dynalite DDNG485 v3 is an RS-485 and DMX512 network gateway used to bridge, extend and integrate wired Dynalite control networks. Its two optically isolated RS-485 ports provide communication between separate network segments while helping prevent an electrical fault on one segment from affecting another.

In larger systems, the gateway can create a trunk-and-spur network structure, route and filter DyNet traffic, translate network messages and extend isolated RS-485 links. It is suited to commercial buildings, venues, campuses and other projects where network distance, scale or segmentation must be managed.

The DDNG485 v3 can also connect a Dynalite system with compatible third-party RS-485 equipment, including building automation systems, audiovisual controllers and Modbus power meters. In DMX512 mode, it can transmit or receive up to 512 channels and convert commands between DMX512 and DyNet.

The compact SELV device can be DIN-rail or wall mounted and is generally installed within a distribution board or electrical enclosure. Programmable logic, packet filtering and network isolation make it useful for Dynalite system expansion, third-party integration and network troubleshooting.
