The Philips Dynalite DDNG485 is a versatile network communications gateway designed for RS-485 networks. Featuring two opto-isolated RS-485 ports, it supports trunk-and-spur topologies on large projects, providing a high-speed backbone with multiple lower-speed spurs.

The DDNG485 allows DyNet routing to third-party systems such as audio-visual equipment, Modbus meters, and building automation systems, enabling fully integrated building control and energy management. In DMX512 mode, it can transmit or receive up to 512 channels with automatic DyNet conversion, perfect for temporary control of house lights from a DMX console.

Additional features include electrical fault isolation to individual network spurs, a programmable logic controller for conditional and sequential logic, packet filtering, and DyNet-to-DyNet 2 translation. DIN-rail mountable, the gateway is designed for easy installation within distribution boards or electrical enclosures.
